We have attempted to contact the top 20 property managers in Indianapolis. Most were successful in that we were able to send some type of message, either through email or a form on their page. One had been severely hacked. One was completely out of business. Two had no online contact method, which seems inconceivable. Of the 16 who remain, we received instant replies from two. However, one of them was way off base, sending us their ebook about real estate investing.
Between you and me, I’m not expecting much. These guys are looking to make as much as they can off their commissions. They are effectively slave labor for their employers, only rewarded when they make a sale. Therefore, they are incentivized to leave alone small deals like mine and go after significantly larger accounts.
Let’s face it: the entire housing market is fucked up and off-kilter. Pricing hasn’t made sense for years, but its current level is unsustainable. Unfortunately, I can’t wait.
